As the first quarter of 2021 has wrapped up, we at Sensor Tower have taken a close look at the performance of the top zombie-themed mobile games in the United Kingdom. Our data shows interesting trends in downloads and weekly active users across these popular titles.
State of Survival: Zombie War by FunPlus International AG, which was released in August 2019, showed a strong performance in Q1 2021. The game saw its downloads peak at nearly 50K in mid-January before settling down to just above 28K by the end of March. Weekly active users reached a high of around 187K in late January, with a slight drop to approximately 165K by the quarter's end.
CamelStudio's Age of Origins, which hit the market in September 2018, also experienced fluctuating numbers. Downloads saw a high of around 9K in early January, dipping to just above 2K by the end of March. Weekly active users, however, showed more stability, starting at around 28K and growing to just over 32K in early March, before a slight decrease to nearly 28K.
The relatively new game Puzzles & Survival from 37GAMES, released in October 2020, demonstrated a promising start to the year with downloads reaching nearly 32K in early February. However, there was a noticeable decrease to 4K by the end of March. Active users peaked at around 75K in early March, followed by a decline to about 53K.
Long Tech Network Limited's Last Shelter: Survival, released in October 2017, showed a more modest download figure, peaking at just over 4K in late December and then tapering off to around 1K by the end of March. Weekly active users began at approximately 27K and saw a decrease to around 17K.
Lastly, The Walking Dead: Survivors by Galaxy Play Technology Limited, although not officially released until April 2021, had pre-launch activity that we tracked. Downloads were highest at the start of January with over 11K but fell to around 3.7K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a peak of roughly 16.5K in early January, with a small decline to just above 8K by the quarter's end.
